[ daichi is standing next to suga on the platform. they arrived just a few minutes before, are making sure they have all their bags before the start walking home to see their families for the holidays. just a few days away from university, some time at home with their families, who they haven't seen in some time. under normal circumstances, daichi should be excited. he honestly does enjoy spending time with his family. but for one reason or another (actually, there is very specifically one reason) he has seemed tense the entire ride down here, his leg bouncing uncontrollably where he sat.
he doesn't know if suga noticed. doesn't know if he cares. but as they got off of the train and stepped back into their familiar streets, daichi realizes he can't really put this off any longer. it's been weighing on him for some time, and the weight has doubled the closer they got. now? now it's getting to the point he can't really put it off any longer. not with how they're due to be at daichi's home in just half an hour or so for a get-together to celebrate.
