It was surprising how much Steve's 'Captain America' appearance diminished when he let his hair grow out just a little bit and put on a Dodgers hoodie. He dressed down very nicely and though he still looked clean cut and golden boy like, he could hide his national icon appearance good enough.
That and who would have thought that Steve Rogers would be sharing an apartment with his newly married husband? This mission put all four of them into undercover work. Watch and eye, protection, research and then some. They had contacts, they had escape routes, they had orders.
For now they were to spend a week getting established. The thing is, Steve just assumed it would be him and Bucky, while Sam and Natasha got hitched (he at least knew a lot about buck). But Natasha pulled a fast one and walked off with Bucky being her husband for the past few years, moving into a new (crappy) apartment. Leaving Steve and Sam.
Not that he minded! He was rather... fond of the guy. They had a u-haul of crap to move, to make it clear they were moving in. Steve had... never had to play human before. Human as in... normal. "Hey, hand me that box, huh?" It was marked books (comics was crossed out. Natasha's hand writing on the side). He saw a couple of guys in suits staring at them as they walked by. Part of their target, no doubt, but Steve played it off easy and didn't even look long.
