[He's been playing the fool for hours. Candle light, romance, warmth and tenderness he didn't really feel hand on his watch. this was supposed to be a dinner for information.
[People forget she's a mercenary as well as an assassin. When Elektra has the chance to make a decent paycheck by simply giving information in exchange she doesn't pass it by. She lives a lavish lifestyle, after all.
There are appearances to make on jobs like this. While a dark haired, light eyed foreign woman enjoying an expensive meal isn't remarkable, she can't risk being noticed by rushing through the dinner. Perhaps it would have been wiser to eat elsewhere where people paid less attention to others in the room, but her standards are as always were high.
She thought this man might appreciate it. He had the appearance of someone who might be have known wealth once too. He certainly drank like a bored rich man which might have been fine if he hadn't asked about it.
Elektra hadn't tried to hide the scar. It served her cover as the difficult to please rich girl. It gave people something to speculate about if they were looking at them. She hadn't thought he'd get drunk enough to ask.
She frowns deeply and nods if only because staring blankly in response wouldn't move the night along.] A couple of days ago.
[If Logan or Natasha were across from her no doubt they'd be discussing when he's coming back. People in their lot of life rarely enjoyed graves for long. He's not either of them though.] What did you wish to discuss again?
[he feigned swooning a bit, rubbing his own wrist thoughtfully. He's got long sleeves mostly, and his own serves as a constant and painful reminder of things that should not be.
He hadn't expected to get this drunk either]
The people that I work for would like to discuss a partnership. [He swallows] The man that I work for.
[Elektra leans back slightly. She sits up so straight normally it's a barely noticeable gesture. This won't be the first or last time she hears an offer like this. Her answer is clearly rehearsed.] I have no use for a partner. If he wishes to request my assistance on a case by case basis, should I find the job acceptable, I may be willing to accept it.
[Her curiosity gets the better of her so she asks more naturally.] What is it you don't like? [Elektra thinks she knows, but it is never wise to assume what's on the mind of a drunken man.]
[Elektra notices, of course. This is what she's best at; reading others and determining how to deal with them if she needs to. It's why she's one of the deadliest women on Earth.] Your body tells a different story. I doubt whoever you are working for would send you unless you were worthy of working with me.
[She adds after a brief moment.] Unless perhaps they would not mourn the loss of you. [It's a gamble. She never hesitates to kill anyone. (Except for innocents. A fact she keeps to herself because it so rarely comes up when you pick your own jobs.)]

He's had a bit too much to drink however.]
...I'm sorry.
[He points at the scar.] ...That looks...recent.

He grimaces] I wouldn't be your partner. I'm not...that's not what I do.
[Lies, it's probably pretty easy to see he has some fighting skill in the way he moves and looks. Still.]
What don't I like about what? these?
[He runs a hand over his wrist] Or about the wine? I've drunk too much.

And yes that. I can taste the wine myself.
